Is this similar to Pi Historian?

I have used OsiSoft PI, Wonderware Industrial Historian. I am wondering if OpenHistorian is similar to that. I have played this software for about a week and have not get my head around yet. A lot of definition are new to me.

Very similar, yes. openHistorian was designed to handle high resolution streaming data, e.g., synchrophasors.
