Guidance help! Is **openPDC** suitable to design the complete synchrophasor network including PMUs, PDCs with the communication network for research purpose

I am a degree student and involve with a project titled Secure WAMS in Smart Grid. Now I am looking to design a complete synchrophasor infrastructure including PMU and PDC etc. Is openPDC suitable for me, if yes please suggest to me any tutorial that helps to kick me start. If this software really not suitable for me please suggest any other simulation where I can design the complete synchrophasor network including PMUs, PDCs with the communication network.

For a PDC, it is fully suitable - yes. It’s used in various production deployments around the world.

Although you can use the openPDC to simulate PMUs, I find it better to use other PMU simulation tools, like this one:
