Creating new measurements programmatically

Hi,

I’ve got OPC UA adapter and I would like to automatically browse OPC UA server and add any new tags to OpenHistorian. Is that possible through code? I have searched the source code but could not find a definite way.

I’m guessing that perhaps it would be possible to add new record to Measurements table in SQL but I just wanted to know what the recommended way is.

Hi Tom,

This can be a little tricky, but we certainly have adapter instances that do this.

I’ll scan your OPC-UA adapter and see if I can suggest the best example for your use case.
