Configuration Frame3 parsing support for C37.118 Version2 protocols

Hello,

I am trying to use GSF.PhasorProtocols in my application to analyze the C37.118 protocol packets.

Currently FrameParser is not supporting parsing of Configuration Frame3 Command.

I see there is some code for parsing configuration frame3 but it is commented out.

Is there any specific reason why it is not supported and any plan to support it in near future?

Hello Krishna,

We’ve never had the opportunity to properly test an implementation of the latest version of the protocol. We’ve gotten a few requests over the years to have it implemented, but without a development project and/or a device to test, our hands are a bit tied. As such, there is no plan to implement IEEE C37.118.2-2011 currently on the roadmap.
