Can OpenHistorian store strings?

Hi,

I’ve written OPC UA Adapter and some of the data I have in SCADA are strings. Does OpenHistorian support storage of string fields? Perhaps as metadata?

Short strings - what strings did you have in mind?

Alphanumeric max 30 characters. They don’t change often but need to be logged against numeric data.

Batch number would be a good example.
