Hi,
I have some bootlenecks on Openhistorian but my CPU is = 50%. maybe I have treads limits impacting my system? Can I configure the Treads limit to try expand the CPU capacity?
There are others parameters that can be configured to expand the capacity of the openhistorian and OpenPDC?
Thanks in advance
Hi Janio!
For the minimum values, I would make sure this matches the number of cores you find in task manager, then for maximum, make sure the value is multiple of the number of cores. For example, if your VM had 16 cores, set minimum to 16 and maximum to multiple of 16, e.g., 128.
Do this for both IO port and worker threads.
If the bottlenecks are CPU related, setting these values to match existing cores, as suggested above, may help CPU performance. Ideally, on a VM, you can also increase the number of cores in the host configuration - then readjust these numbers to match new cores.
If bottlenecks are related to disk and/or network share access speed, there are not many settings that can be adjusted to assist with this…
Hope that helps!
Thanks,
Ritchie
