# User login WEB Manager

Hi,

I did a viewer user add with Manager (or WEB), after tried to log in with EDGE, FIREFOX and CHROME.

##### Login attempt failed: Invalid user name or password (401)

Anything that I forgot ?

Hi Andre\_Santos,

Did you add the viewer user as a Windows user or a Database user? Also, what options are you selecting at the login page?

Both, tried with domain too. All the options allowed (“Use Integrated Windows Authentication” and/or “USE NTLM authentication”).

- Windows user = Active Directory User, right ?

Yes

Telling me you’ve tried everything isn’t really helping us hone in on what your issue might be. I need a clearer picture of what you’re trying to do beyond “doing a viewer user”. If all you need is a walkthrough, here are the steps.

- Create a database user
- Give the new user the Viewer role
- Go to the login page in the web interface
- Uncheck “Integrated Windows Authentication”
- Enter the username/password correctly
- Click the “Login” button

If that doesn’t work for you, please explain to me what you need, exactly what happened when you tried it, and maybe even provide some screenshots.
