Thank you

Hi Janio!

You can run the openPDC installer and only install the manager components on a workstation, then, as long the workstation can (1) access the openPDC configuration database, and (2) access needed openPDC service instance ports – then, yes, you can run the openPDC Manager remotely.

The same manager can manage different openPDC instances, but normally, you need to run the Configuration Setup Utility to _point_ the openPDC Manager to a new instance – so managing different openPDC instances remotely with the _same_ openPDC Manager requires a reconfiguration.

We have considered a little front-end tool that has a list of remote openPDC Manager instances, which then when one was selected, would re-configure the openPDC Manager for the selected remote openPDC instance, then restart the manager application – this would be a light weight, “instance selection tool” – but this has not been developed.

Thanks!
Ritchei
